Studied at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, majoring in Technology and Mechanical Engineering. He completed the Management 2000 training-consulting programme for business practitioners and post-graduate studies in Management Accounting at the Poznań University of Economics. From 1995 to 1999, he worked at ZNTK Bydgoszcz as Deputy Manager of the Z5 Mechanical Plant. From 1999-2000, he worked as a Member of the Management Board of Zakład Mechaniczny Ramech in Bydgoszcz. From 2000-2005, employed by Elektromontaż Gdańsk on a contract in Germany working on construction contacts in the position of Construction Manager of the mechanical and electrical part. In 2005 he started working for MAKRUM S.A. and its subsidiaries. From 2005-2009 as Project Manager. Member of the Management Board of Heilbronn Pressen GmbH from 2009 to 2010. At the same time Head of the Project Management team at MAKRUM S.A. from 2009 to 2012. President of Heilbronn Pressen Service GmbH from 2010 to 2013. Since 2012 President of the Management Board of Makrum Project Management Sp. z o.o. In November 2016, he assumed the position of CEO of Projprzem Makrum. He became CEO of the company, which has been called PJP Makrum since 2020, in April 2017.

He holds a university degree, Master of Engineering. He studied at the Faculty of Construction at the Technical and Agricultural Academy in Bydgoszcz (1991-1996), majoring in Construction Technology and Organisation. Between 1996 and 2002, he worked on construction projects implemented under the General Contractor formula by Budomont - Pomorze Sp. z o .o. from Bydgoszcz. Then, from 2003, he managed projects as a Contract Manager at Budimex - Dromex S. A. Between 2005 and 2007 he was responsible for the acquisition activities of Budimex - Dromex S. A. as Deputy Director of the Commercial Office. From 2007, he joined Bin - Biuro Inżynierskie Sp. z o. o. as Marketing Director and later Vice President and Member of the Management Board. As part of his tasks, he managed the activities of the company, which carries out industrial and warehouse projects and specialises in the comprehensive implementation of construction investments using steel structures. Dariusz Szczechowski joined Makrum Sp. z o.o. in May 2013 as Vice President and then President of the Management Board. Since 2017, he has been a member of the management board of Makrum Project Management Sp. z o.o. Vice president of Projprzem Makrum S.A. (now PJP Makrum S.A.) became in 2017.
